Alok Advani is a CPG operator and innovation strategist with more than two decades building, launching, and scaling new products across food and beverage.
His career has taken him from the plant floor at Nabisco, the world's largest bakery, to category finance at Kroger, to brand marketing at Anheuser-Busch, where he helped develop Michelob Ultra's first-ever Super Bowl commercial. Alok's experience in Operations, Finance, and Brand marketing at some of the world's best companies, gives him a unique perspective on building food and beverage brands.
At Conagra, Alok led the Gourmet Foods Group, the company's emerging-brands incubator, driving innovation across brands such as Frontera, Duke's Meat Sticks, and Alexia Foods. He led teams to build innovations across frozen, refrigerated, and ambient, across multiple dayparts and cateogries, and built the processes that scaled the GFG's innovation thinking into the broader organization.
As CEO and Chairman of SuckerPunch Gourmet, he led the team that turned the country's viral pickle trend into a product line, including pickle pouches, pickle mixers, pickle hydration shots, and even pickle beer, running full development from insight and ideation through sourcing, contract manufacturing, and retail launch. SuckerPunch grew to 30,000 retail locations and climbed from #137 to Top 10 in market share.
As founder of Dovetail CPG, Alok works with F500 incubators and venture-backed food and beverage brands on innovation strategy and commercial execution, and runs ideation sessions that set their roadmaps. The advantage he brings to the room is simple: he has built the things he is helping others build. Recent projects include a three-year innovation plan for Neuro Gum and commercial strategy for Brami protein pasta, both now among the fastest-growing brands in their categories.
